From Grandpa's Shop to the Classroom

Happy Friday my friends!
Didn't the week just fly?
I'm still a day behind!
Looking forward to catching up over the weekend!

I wanted to share with you a fun cabinet I gussied up.
One of my many biggest challenges in school last year was staying organized.
The main culprit of that problem was storage!
I have a very bad habit of stuffing things in random places if they don't have a designated spot.
After searching Craig's list for a while I found this little fella.

Straight from an old guy's shop.
And just to let you know, cleaning oily gunk out of nooks and crannies is not fun.
Not the cutest thing,
but I saw potential.

So after a few coats of 'cherry red' spray paint
and some modge podging,
he turned out like this

The top had a fake wood laminate
(ewwww)
so I modge podged dictionary pages and old maps from an atlas.

My favorite part of this cabinet is the STORAGE!

I have my books organized by topic.
 Does that make you smile?
Because I smile every time I open those doors.

Yep.  He's a great addition to the classroom.

Now all I have to do it restrain from
'stuffing' anything in those organized shelves.

Hope you have a stupendous weekend!

I'm linking up with these fun and talented gals:
