Hooray For Our First Day!

It has begun!

We had a great first day.
It started with a breakfast for champions

 With a pancake bar!
The girls loved picking a topping for their pancakes!

Along with 'kid joe' -aka hot chocolate

 And surprises of course

So with breakfast and morning habits complete, we started our school day!

I know quite a few of you have seen our classroom, but here it is again with a few fun changes.

This red cabinet holds our educational games and my themed curriculum books.

Oh look!
A student!

Miss Addy was super excited about starting kindergarten.
I gave a 'new to her' desk a little sunshine facelift.
This is what it looked like last year.

It was actually MY desk as a kid.
But after a few coats of Rustoleum's 'Summer Squash'

It's fresh and new for her!

Here's our reading knook
Oh look!  It works!
There's a cute kid reading!

 See my happy light?
More details on that tomorrow!
Yippee!

Our calender corner for Addy

She'll be using THIS amazing binder every morning.
This is a fantastic homeschool blog by the way!

Need an awesome lesson planner?
I highly recommend THIS one!

It was such a good day.

There definitely were a few 'deep breath' moments.
But I know it will take a few days for us to get back into the swing of things.

I really do have the sweetest students.

Hope you have an excellent day!
